UNIVERSITY OF THE REPUBLIC
The University of the Republic (UR) is the principal institution of higher education and research in Uruguay. Together with a broad range of other entities, institutional as well as social, it also carries out a multitude of activities aimed at making socially relevant use of knowledge and cultural diffusion. It is an autonomous public university, co-governed by faculty, students and alumni.
