THE UNIVERSITY IN THE URUGUAYAN EDUCATIONAL REFORM

During 2006 an Educational Debate took place in the country, aimed at transforming the Uruguayan education. The UR and all its collective bodies participated in this debate. Additionally, the UR as an institution, in special sessions of its collective leadership which took place in the first months of the current year, resolved to move forward with a University Reform which, in conjunction with the rest of our educational system and with society as a whole, aims at generalizing access to advanced and permanent education, closely connected with all areas of work in our nation’s life.
